Comcast is due to begin work again in Conway the week of July 23rd. It is anticipated that work will be completed by the end of August.
The Town of Conway is entering into an agreement with Colonial Power to aggregate the buying power of the Town and its residents. See the plan here, along with an opportunity to comment on it!
As of July 9, Conway’s new website is up and running. The address is the same as the old website: townofconway.com. We have endeavored to work out as many of the bugs as possible, but if you notice any problems, please call Lisa Turowsky, Assistant to the Town Administrator, at 369-4235 x0.

The primary election will take place on Tuesday, September 4. Those wishing to register or change party affiliation must do so by August 15. Voting will take place in Conway between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Conway “Dog Parents”, licenses expired on March 31! State law requires that dogs be licensed each year. 2018 licenses are available from the Town Clerk on T/Th/F mornings between 9 a.m. and noon, or may be purchased by mail at P.O.Box 240, Conway – please include SASE bearing 70-cents postage. After July 1, owners are subject to a $10.00 fine in addition to the regular licensing fee for each unregistered dog. Make checks payable to the Town of Conway – Males and Spayed Females are $3.00 each; Females are $6.00 each. The following information must accompany all requests: Owner’s name and address, Dog’s name, age, breed color and gender; and a current rabies certificate. Proof of a current rabies vaccination is required!!!
The Board of Assessors will be “in the field” this summer for a property data review, in which each property’s record card will be compared with the actual building(s). Exterior photos will be taken of all buildings. Owners need not be at home during this visit, which will take about 5-10 minutes. A car with signs reading “Assessors” will be used, and the police dispatcher will have a description of the car. Any questions? call 369-4235 x5 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Historical Society will hold its annual picnic on Friday, August 10 at 6pm at the Conway Inn, Main Street. Bring a dish to share and your own plate/flatware. RSVP to Mary at 369-4224.
The Conway Fireman’s Auxiliary are planning their 46th Annual Turkey Dinner on Saturday, September 29th. The dinner will be held at the Conway Grammar School cafeteria. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children. Seatings will be at 5pm and 6:30pm. Reservations: Call Baker’s Store, 369-4936. Pre-ordered takeouts will also be available.
A buffet lunch for seniors is planned for Thursday, August 30th, at the Sportsmen’s Club. Gather at the Club at 11:30; lunch will be served at noon. $5 donation is suggested. Call Peg Tiley, 413-369-4010 to reserve your spot!
