Conway Seeking PT Administrative Assistant

The Town of Conway is seeking an Administrative Assistant, reporting to the Town Administrator and serving the Conservation Commission, Planning Board, and Zoning Board of Appeals, with further work possible. The position averages 5 hours per week. Successful candidate will have good written and verbal skills to effectively communicate with other municipal employees and the general public, and demonstrated clerical skills, including familiarity with computers and Office programs. Successful applicant will be able to take minutes and perform bill tracking and record keeping. Compensation rate is $16/hr. Conway Now Has Long-Range Financial Plan

The Town of Conway, in conjunction with the Commonwealth Community Compact Program, has adopted a multi-year financial plan that develops financial policies, revenue and expenditure forecasts, and budget documents that reflect Conway’s needs. The Town of Conway has accepted and expressed its commitment to this Long Range Financial Plan by Finance Committee approval on June 19, 2017 and by Select Board and Capital Improvement Planning Committee vote on June 26, 2017. Procedure to reserve School Field, Town Field, and Town Tennis Court space:

Contact the Assistant to the Town Administrator (assistant@townofconway.com) in order to reserve the space. Upon receipt of your request, the office will send a confirmation via email that space is available and reserved.

Reserve Space

Procedure to reserve town meeting space

  • Check the TOWN MEETING SPACE CALENDAR to make sure the space you’re interested in is available at the desired time.
  • Contact the Assistant to the Town Administrator (assistant@townofconway.com) or Town Administrator (selectboard@townofconway.com) in order to reserve the space.
  • Upon receipt of your request, the office will send a confirmation form via email outlining rental costs & policies and requiring your signature….Town Hall Use & Rates.
  • Return the completed form to the Town Office with a check to cover your costs, at which time you will temporarily be given a key* to the Town Hall.
  • Once payment is made, your event or meeting will be posted on the town calendar on this site.
  • Key deposits will be required at the time of rental and will be available for return for up to one (1) month after the event date.

For Committee or Board meeting space

  • Check the calendar to make sure the space you’re interested in is available at the desired time.
  • Contact the Assistant to the Town Administrator (assistant@townofconway.com) or Town Administrator (selectboard@townofconway.com) in order to reserve the space.
  • Fill out a Meeting Notice/Posting form, then place it in the Town Clerk’s mailbox at the Town Office. Alternatively, you may submit your completed form electronically to the Town Clerk at clerk@townofconway.com. Meetings must be posted at least 48 hours in advance.
  • If you don’t have a key* to either office building in question, you may stop by the Selectboard Office to borrow one.
  • Your event or meeting will be posted on the town calendar on this site.

* Note: Keys are distributed strictly on a temporary basis. All persons given a key will be held responsible for its safekeeping and return upon request. You will not be authorized to share your key with anyone else and it is illegal to make copies.
